We will assume that you have some old Android phone for a start,go ahead and download free software called “IP webcam” from Play Store. Next, open the app and click the “Start server” option in the main menu.
You will start seeing your camera, as if you were shooting a video. At the bottom of the screen, you will find an IP address, something like 192.168.0.110:8080 (this is just an example, you will see a different address but should have the same format). Before moving to the following step, make sure your phone is connected to your home WiFi.
That's it, you are all set! Place your phone anywhere you want and keep an eye on things, plug it in to your charger. You can put it in the front door and see who is ringing the bell, or you can put it in the garden and check what’s going on if you heard a funny noise. You may also want to put it in your baby’s room and use it as a baby monitor.
Do more with tinyCam
