Application Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Smarter Way application ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Kamil Dzikowski, handles your information when you connect a third-party account — such as TikTok or YouTube — so that Smarter Way can publish content to that account on your behalf.

1. Information we collect

When you connect a TikTok account through TikTok's official OAuth (Login Kit), we receive and store:

• Basic profile information — your TikTok account identifier (open_id), display name, and username — used only to show you which account is linked.
• Authorization tokens — an OAuth access token and refresh token — used to publish videos to your account on your behalf.

We never receive or store your TikTok password or login credentials.

2. How we use your information

We use the information solely to:

• publish videos that you or the operator explicitly choose, to the account you connected; and
• display the connected account's name inside the Smarter Way dashboard so you can manage it.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.

3. How we share information

We do not share your information with third parties. The only transmission of your data is to the connected platform's own official API (for example, the TikTok Content Posting API) in order to carry out the publishing actions you authorized.

4. Storage and security

Authorization tokens are stored securely on our server and transmitted only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access is limited to the operation of the Service.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your tokens and basic profile information only for as long as your account remains connected. You can delete this data at any time by:

• choosing Disconnect for the platform inside Smarter Way, which removes the stored tokens; or
• revoking Smarter Way's access from your TikTok account settings (Security & permissions → Manage app permissions).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase the personal data we hold, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact page.

7. Third-party platforms

TikTok's own Privacy Policy governs how TikTok collects and processes your data on its platform. This policy covers only how the Smarter Way application handles the data described above.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
